This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for SG Scholars courses, programmes and related online learning services operated by Gates Digital Pte Ltd.
SG Scholars provides digital educational content and online learning services. Because digital content may be accessed or made available immediately after purchase, refunds may be limited once substantial course content has been accessed.
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable course page, digital course purchases are generally non-refundable once substantial course content has been accessed, streamed or made available to the enrolled student.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any refund, cancellation or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Singapore law.
If a cancellation request is submitted before the student has substantially accessed the course and before the relevant live programme has commenced, SG Scholars may consider the request based on the applicable course terms.
Approval is not automatic and may depend on the course type, payment status, scheduled start date and other relevant circumstances.
Once a student has substantially accessed, streamed or otherwise received digital course materials, the purchase will generally be non-refundable.
This may include situations where the student has accessed recorded lessons, downloadable learning resources, assessments or other substantial course materials.
For programmes that include live online classes, refund eligibility may depend on whether the programme has started and how much of the programme has already been delivered or accessed.
Where a course is advertised as providing Permanent Access, this means continued access to the purchased course materials for as long as SG Scholars continues to operate and provide those materials.
Permanent Access does not mean that SG Scholars is required to provide the service indefinitely regardless of future operational, technical, legal or business circumstances.
Refund requests should be submitted through the contact details provided on the SG Scholars website and should include sufficient information to identify the relevant account and transaction.
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Processing times may depend on the payment provider, bank or other third-party payment service.
If you believe that you have been charged more than once for the same purchase, please contact SG Scholars as soon as possible.
Verified duplicate payments may be refunded where appropriate. Unauthorised transactions should also be reported promptly so that the transaction can be reviewed.
SG Scholars may occasionally need to cancel, postpone, reschedule or modify a course or programme due to operational, technical, instructor, enrolment or other circumstances.
Where SG Scholars cancels a course and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, an appropriate remedy may include a course transfer, account credit or refund, depending on the circumstances.
Where a course is changed or replaced with substantially equivalent learning content or service, a refund may not necessarily be available.
